Geography (Master's and Doctoral Degrees)

Program Description

The Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEA) of the University of Brasilia (UnB) was created in 1996, initially only with the master's degree. The doctoral program was opened in 2011. The main objective of the PPGEA course is to train teachers, researchers and qualified professionals for the development of teaching and research activities in the public and private sectors, aiming at the competence of scientific, academic and technological knowledge for territorial and environmental management.

Research carried out within the scope of the Program aims to analyze public policies, decision making and organizational processes, based on a contemporary theoretical approach. There are several possibilities for conducting research in various contexts, such as advising government agencies, international organizations, public and private companies, ministries, NGOs, among others.
