- From 2012 to 2017, UnB received 749 foreign students, and sent 943 exchange students to universities all over the world.

- There are more than 250 agreements with foreign institutions, from 47 countries, which allow undergraduate and graduate students to supplement their studies through exchanges.

- These agreements also enable the cooperation between UnB and foreign professors and researchers, the exchange of research, the formation of knowledge networks and international publications.

Established Partnerships*

- Institutes and colleges of the University have the autonomy to identify and define with which universities and international organizations they want to collaborate. It is up to INT, however, to map and formalize the initiatives of internationalization originated from researchers and internal units. Some of the main exchange programs are:

- Teixeira de Freitas Program - Judicial Exchange Program with in partnership with Brazilian Superior Court.

- PAEC GCUB-OEA: Partnership Program for Education and Training, of Coimbra Group and the Organization of American States (OAS)

- ProAfri: Training Program for Higher Education Faculty of African Countries

- Exchange program at the Beijing Institute of Technology – China

- Master and Doctorate Program of the Shibaura Institute of Technology – Japan

- Paulo Freire Academic Mobility Project

- The Carolina Foundation and the Tordesillas Group Scholarship Programs

- Santander Ibero-American Scholarship Program

 

- Several Erasmus Mundus partnerships.

In addition, the University of Brasilia joined forces with university networks to expand their connectivity and to solve challenges that are shared by other institutions. Among these networks are:

- GCUB: Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities

- AULP: Association of Portuguese Language Universities

- Tordesillas Group: Academic Network of Universities from Brazil, Portugal and Spain
