Graduate Program in Transport Studies (Academic Master's and Doctoral Degrees)
Program Description
The University of Brasilia's Graduate Program in Transportation of was created in 1988 as a Master's Degree in Urban Transport. It was an important step at the time, in order to meet the demand for training of highly skilled human resources in the area of urban transport, especially in the north and midwest regions of Brazil. It was established through an agreement signed between the University of Brasília and the Federal Government, with support from the Brazilian Urban Transport Company (EBTU).In 1998, started the Interdisciplinary Center for Transport Studies (Ceftru) at the University of Brasilia, in partnership with the International Agency of Japanese Cooperation (JICA) and with the Ministry of Transportation. In order to expand the activities developed beyond the frontiers of urban transport, in 1999 the course became a Master's Degree in Transportation. In 2005 the Doctoral Degree in Transportation was initiated and the program then gained the current denomination of "Graduate Program in Transport Studies - PPGT ".

- Logistics: Transportation management, distribution of goods and services from supplier to customer.
- Transportation System Operation: Traffic and road safety.
- Transportation Planning: Transportation planning models; Applied studies of transportation planning.
