Animal Sciences
Animal Sciences (Academic Master's and Doctoral Degrees)
Program Description:
The Graduate Program in Animal Sciences was strategically designed to meet the demands of Brazilian agribusiness industry which has an enormous importance to the country's economy and is growing vigorously. Gradually, since its implementation, this program has been evolving and adapting to new demands, through the modernization of its norms and the formation of students. The PPGCA, in its essence, aims to train technically well-prepared professionals to meet the demands of the internal or external market, so that the regional and national need for these professionals is supplied. This program in the area of Animal Sciences, inserted in the Brazilian Midwest region, has great strategic relevance for the development of the country.
Since its inception, it has become clear that this program has become a high-level training center for veterinarians, contributing significantly to research and development in the Brazilian Midwest through its alumni and products (publications, technologies and outreach). Also considering its strategic location in Brasilia, tins program acts to meet the demands of the Brazilian Ministries, complementary bodies of the Brazilian Government and the Agribusiness industry, especially in personnel training and knowledge generation in strategic areas including National Security, the fight against corruption and other topics of high relevance to veterinary medicine in a broad context.
