Linguistics Graduate Program (Master's and Doctoral Degrees)
Program Description
The Graduate Program in Linguistics (PPGL) of the University of Brasilia was created in 1963, being a pioneer in inaugurating the first program of Academic Master's in Linguistics in Brazil .It is a Program with more than 50 years of history and recognized relevance in the development of linguistic science in Brazil. It is not only important because of its past, but also by outlining guidelines and goals for the future, always attentive to social objectives, clearly delimited and specially focused on minority language speakers.
The main objective of PPGL is to promote the construction of knowledge, encouraging the development of research on human language, particularly on the linguistic reality of Brazil, as well as contributing to the training of researchers and teachers for higher education.
