Literature Studies Graduate Program (Master's and Doctoral Degrees)

 

Program Description

The Graduate Program in Literature, of the Department of Literary Theory and Literatures of the Institute of Linguistics and Languages of the University of Brasilia, started its Master's program in 1975 and its Doctoral Program in 1998.Since its foundation, this program has trained more than 1400 students, including masters and doctors, spread today among important institutions in Brazil and abroad. This indicates the importance and contribution of the Program to the training of language professionals with emphasis on Literary Studies both in Brazil and internationally in the last decades.

This program aims to promote scientific competence, contributing to the training of teachers, researchers and other high-level professionals by promoting research and reflection on the relationship between literature and social practices and on the production and reception of literature as social practice.
